

They are championed lately for their energy-efficiency, color accuracy, brightness, and sharpness. The LED displays would take the place of traditional, CCFL-backlit displays. The rumor is that Apple (as well as a couple other computer companies, including HP) is working on integrating LED displays into their laptop lines, starting with the 15" MacBook Pro.

It's only been a couple of weeks since the last rumor about LED-based displays popped up, but there appears to be a little bit of new information.
